Heavy stone-pelting took place on the banks of the Ganga Ghat in Varanasi on Sunday morning. More than half a dozen people were injured during the stone attacks. Who were taken to the divisional hospital for treatment. Police registered a case against eight people from both sides and arrested them. The incident took place at Telianala Ghat in Prahlad Ghat area of Adampur police station in Varanasi. Where two groups of sailors had clashed in an attempt to obtain transportation.

This sudden throwing of stones created chaos. The video of the stone-pelting incident also spread quickly on social media. Eight people were injured during the incident and were treated at the Kabir Chaura Divisional Hospital in Varanasi. Police arrested 8 people after receiving complaints from both parties.
It is said that in the morning, Santosh Sahni and Dheeraj Sahni met face to face to organize a walk on the banks of the Ganga Ghat. Both accused each other of cheating on each other on their respective ships. The argument over which one started with ‘Tu-Tu, Main Main’, abuse and then fights and then led to stoning.

DCP Gaurav Banswal of Varanasi Kashi Zone Police Commissionerate said that a case has been registered against 8 persons from both parties and they have been arrested and further action is also being taken. This is the reason why a large number of devotees come here every day for darshan. After darshan, people also go to the ghat to see the Ganges.
