Vegetable seller injured in traffic accident dies during treatment

Jalalpur Ambedkar Nagar. A vegetable seller injured in a road accident a week ago died during treatment. Kotwali Jalalpur police have registered a case based on the complaint of the deceased’s wife. Gauri Devi of Kolhupara Jainapur village under Kotwali Jalalpur complained to the police that her husband Ramjit Maurya had gone to the Jalalpur vegetable market to sell vegetables on October 31. On the way, near Hajipur village, a speeding bus forcefully ran over the husband who was riding a bicycle. As a result, he was seriously injured and the motorcycle was also seriously damaged. The bus driver abandoned the vehicle at the scene of the incident and fled. On receiving information, the family members admitted the injured to the local hospital and seeing his critical condition, after consulting doctors, he was admitted to Lucknow Medical College, where the injured Ramjit Maurya died during treatment. In this case, Kotwali Jalalpur police have registered a case against the driver and the vehicle based on the complaint of the deceased’s wife Gauri Devi. Kotwal Santosh Kumar Singh said a case has been registered.
