A case has come to light where an ECG was performed on a patient after watching a YouTube video at a government hospital in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. After the video of this incident went viral on social media, the administration started investigating the matter. In the video, the patient’s relatives are seen objecting, saying that the assistant is playing with the patient’s life. At the same time, the alleged hospital attendant says he is not a medical worker. In the video the assistant is heard saying that he is not a laboratory technician. He (the coach) went home on Diwali leave. Everything is set in motion and the machine will do what is necessary.
This incident occurred recently at Pavata Satellite Hospital, video of which surfaced on Saturday. After the video surfaced, Medical College principal BS Jodha said action will be taken after investigating the matter and the video.
Pavata District Hospital Video
A video of a patient’s ECG before treatment at Pawta District Hospital is going viral. The person making the video is a relative of the patient. Ask the hospital nurse who performs the ECG if you have ever had an ECG. Says the hospital nursing staff. You haven’t done an ECG, but even a small child can do it.
What did the superintendent of the district hospital say?
Pavata district hospital superintendent Kulwinder Singh Chopra said that this video is from our own hospital. Stopping EKG performance was on leave. For this reason, the nursing employee Manish was conducting the patient’s ECG. Anyway, there is a shortage of staff in our hospital. There was a BPL ECG machine in the hospital. In which there was a small problem. To solve this problem, the nursing staff watched a video on YouTube. The problem was corrected and after 3 minutes the print also arrived. He said anyone can do an ECG. There is no harm of any kind to the patient. Furthermore, making such a video in a hospital without permission is also a crime. Our nursing staff didn’t know I was filming them.
Two videos of nursing staff performing an ECG after watching a YouTube video are going viral. A video lasts 3 minutes and 8 seconds. The same second video is 24 seconds. In the video you can clearly see that a patient is sleeping in a hospital bed. The nurse performing the ECG is trying to perform the ECG by watching a YouTube video. This is gross negligence in the treatment of the patient.
