In a statement on Thursday, he refuted the allegations against Vinod Tawde and said the party cannot accept such baseless allegations.

Patil further said, ‘Vinod Tawde cannot do this. He has always defended the party when the party needed it. Vinod and I are old friends. Not only this, I also know members of his family. The person who was associated with the party for 10 years without any salary and was present there whenever the party needed him, held many positions from minister to other positions. He can’t do this. We will not accept such accusations. Let us tell you that BJP leader Vinod Tawde was accused by Bahujan Vikas Aghadi of distributing money. BVA alleged that Vinod Tawde was distributing money at a hotel in Nalasopara in view of the Maharashtra Assembly elections.

Congress demanded an investigation

After this matter came to light, Congress demanded an investigation into these allegations under the supervision of the Supreme Court. Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan said Vinod Tawde is a senior BJP leader. It is unfortunate that he was caught distributing money in this way. The Supreme Court must take suo motu cognizance of this matter and investigate it under the supervision of the Supreme Court. Refuting these allegations, Vinod Tawde said that he had gone to meet an MLA at the hotel on the issue of voting rules and code of conduct. The Bahujan Vikas Aghadi workers had a misunderstanding and claimed that I was distributing money. The Election Commission and the police will investigate the matter based on CCTV. I have nothing to hide.
