Voting in Maharashtra on Wednesday

Voting will be held on Wednesday for 288 seats in the assembly elections in Maharashtra. The electoral future of many parties in Maharashtra is at stake. There is a direct contest between the BJP and the Congress for over 70 seats in Maharashtra. Much will depend on the results of these seats to form a government. In the assembly elections, the contest for 36 seats in Mumbai and its suburbs is quite interesting.

A total of 4,136 candidates are in the running.

Voting will begin at 7 a.m. on Wednesday. Voting will take place until 6 p.m. A total of 4,136 candidates are in the fray in Maharashtra, of which 2,086 are independent candidates. The BJP is contesting on 149 seats, the Shiv Sena on 81 and the NCP on 59 assembly constituencies.

Around 9.70 million voters in the state

Congress has fielded 101 candidates, Shiv Sena (UBT) 95 and NCP (SP) 86 candidates. The BSP is contesting the elections with 237 seats. Other small parties are also present. There are approximately 9.70 million voters in the state. More than 2 lakh security personnel have been deployed at polling stations.

These leaders did the best they could

In the Maharashtra Assembly elections, NCP (SP) supremo Sharad Pawar, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar are trying hard to get people’s votes for their respective parties.

Direct competition between Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar’s party

Sharad Pawar had dealt a heavy blow to Ajit Pawar in the Lok Sabha elections. Now we have to see that this time in the assembly elections, which party will get more MLAs between Sharad and Ajit Pawar. Ajit Pawar’s faction has been recognized by the Election Commission as the real Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). Sharad Pawar is confident of defeating the rival faction in the assembly elections too, while Ajit Pawar hopes to return with a good performance.

Shinde Vs Shiv Sena of Uddhav group

On the other hand, if we talk about Shiv Sena’s Shinde and Uddhav factions, both of them did well in the Lok Sabha elections. In such a situation, the results of the assembly elections are now expected to determine who the public considers the true rightful owner of the party’s legacy. The Election Commission has recognized the Shinde faction as the real Shiv Sena.

These two alliances are in the electoral race

In Maharashtra, Sharad Pawar’s NCP (SP), Uddhav’s Shiv Sena (UBT) and the Congress are part of the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance. At the same time, apart from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the ruling coalition includes Shiv Sena, led by Shinde, and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), led by Ajit Pawar.

BJP fights for 149 seats

The BJP is contesting on 149 seats in Maharashtra, while the Shiv Sena fielded its candidates on 81 and the NCP on 59 seats. While Congress is trying its luck with 101 seats, Shiv Sena (UBT) with 95 and NCP (SP) with 86 seats.

Who is the king of Mumbai?

Both Shiv Sena factions are neck and neck in 50 seats. At the same time, rival factions of the NCP have fielded candidates against each other for 37 seats. The fight between the two factions of Shiv Sena is mainly centered on “who is the king of Mumbai”.

Tight competition in western Maharashtra

In fact, earlier the undivided Shiv Sena dominated the country’s financial capital, but now both factions of the party are facing each other there. At the same time, there is expected to be a close fight between uncle and nephew (Sharad and Ajit Pawar) in western Maharashtra, which is considered the stronghold of the Pawar family.

Sharad Pawar enters election campaign

Sharad Pawar in his election rallies appealed to the voters of the area to defeat the rebels (Ajit Pawar and his party candidates). At the same time, Ajit Pawar has been seen avoiding using harsh words against his uncle for fear of creating a wave of sympathy in his favor.

This was the result of the Lok Sabha elections

In the Lok Sabha elections, the NCP (SP) won 8 seats, while the NCP had to settle for just one seat. At the same time, Shiv Sena (UBT) emerged victorious with 9 seats, while Shiv Sena won 7 seats.
