Voting trend of 9 seats in UP by-elections, extraordinary voting in SP-held seats and slow in BJP seats.

Uttar Pradesh Assembly by-elections.

The by-elections to be held in nine assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh may not decide power, but the future status and political direction. This is the reason why the UP by-elections are considered the semi-final of 2027. Both the BJP and the SP have exerted their full strength, but there is uproar in many places of the by-elections. There was a lot of commotion in Sisamau, Meerapur and Kundarki seats, which the SP complained about and Akhilesh Yadav held a press conference. Following this, the Election Commission suspended seven police officers, including the inspector.

The Election Commission has taken action following the SP’s complaint and receipt of irregularities through various means. Two police officers have been suspended in Sisamau and two police officers have been suspended in Mirapur, Muzaffarnagar. Likewise, in Moradabad, a police sub-inspector and several police officers have been suspended. Despite this, voting is going on vigorously in Meerapur and Kundarki seats, while the least voting has taken place in Ghaziabad seat.

In the 9 UP assembly seats where elections are being held, 62.14 per cent voting was done in the 2022 elections. 56.85 percent in Sisamau, 60.80 percent in Khair seat, 71.26 percent in Kundarki seat, 68.65 percent in Mirapur seat, 66.11 percent in Karhal, 51.77 percent in Ghaziabad seat, 62.5 percent in Katehri seat, 61.1 percent in Phulpur and 61.1 percent in Majhwan Seat There were 60.3 percent votes. The SP had won four, the BJP three, the RLD one and the Nishad Party won one seat.

In Uttar Pradesh, 9 seats were voted and till 1 pm an average of 33 per cent of the voting was done. 36.77 percent in Mirapur seat, 31.68 percent in Majhwan seat, 28.80 percent in Khair seat, 26.67 percent in Phulpur seat, 41.01 percent in Kundarki seat, 32.29 percent in Karhal seat, 36.54 percent in Katehari seat, 20.92 percent in Ghaziabad seat, Sisamau seat But the vote was 28.50 percent. Thus, maximum voting took place in Kundarki seat, followed by Meerapur seat, while maximum voting took place in Ghaziabad.

If we look at the voting trend of the by-elections, voting is increasing in SP-held Kundarki, Karhal and Katehari seats, while voting is decreasing in BJP-held Khair, Phulpur and Ghaziabad seats. Apart from this, the voting seems good in the seat occupied by the RLD, while there is less voting in the seat occupied by the Nishad Party. Voting is declining in the Sisamau seat held by the SP, while in the seats it still holds, a good number of voters are leaving the chambers. Voting in Kundarki has been more than 70 per cent in the last three elections, while Ghaziabad also saw less voting in the last elections.

The Karhal, Sisamau and Kundarki assembly seats have been occupied by three SPs for a long time. The BSP had won the Kundarki seat in 2007 and since then the SP has been registering victory. The BJP is winning seats in Ghaziabad, Phulpur and Khair for three consecutive elections. The political mood of Meerapur and Majhwan seats keeps changing with every election, while the mood of Katheri seat changes after two elections. The SP had won in 2022, while earlier the BSP had won and the SP MLA was elected in 2012.
