Former chairman of the Shia Waqf board, Wasim Rizvi, has changed caste after adopting Hinduism. When he converted to the religion in 2021, he changed his name to Jitendra Narayan Tyagi. He has now changed his name to Jitendra Narayan Singh Sengar. Now he has become a Thakur of a Tyagi Brahmin. Rizvi had said in one of his statements that he had been expelled from the religion of Islam.
Jitendra Narayan Singh Sengar also congratulated Diwali and along with this greeting, he also added his new name. When Wasim Rizvi abandoned Islam and adopted the Hindu religion, he rose to fame.

When Wasim Rizvi changed his religion
At that time, the religious leaders of Islam had also issued fatwas against Rizvi. Even disputes had arisen in his family. His mother and brother had also broken off relations with him. He has often been accused of making controversial statements about the religious leaders of Islam.
Jitendra Narayan Singh Sengar
Wasim Rizvi (now Jitendra Narayan Singh Sengar) has been the president of the Central Shia Waqf Board and has been in the news since the Yogi Adityanath government came to power in Uttar Pradesh in 2017. He rose to fame for linking education in madrassas with terrorism and for filing a petition in the Supreme Court demanding the removal of Qutub Minar.

Rizvi then claimed that some educational institutions promote extremist ideologies, after this statement people from the Shia and Sunni communities strongly opposed him. In response to his controversial views, clerics from the Shia and Sunni sects issued fatwas against him, which he later claimed had expelled him from Islam.
