We carry forward India’s decision… Brazilian President told Prime Minister Modi

Bilateral meeting held between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Brazilian President Lula da Silva

A bilateral meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Brazilian President Lula da Silva took place on the last day of the G20 summit. At this meeting, both leaders agreed to further strengthen relations between the two countries. Prime Minister Modi congratulated President Lula for the successful organization of the G20 and Brazil’s various efforts. He further assured India’s full support to Brazil’s initiative for a ‘Global Alliance against Hunger and Poverty’.

During the meeting, both leaders discussed further mutual cooperation in the solar energy, biofuels, defence, agriculture, healthcare and digital sectors. Prime Minister Modi assured Brazil of cooperation on these issues and assured that India will fully support him in this direction.

Brazil’s decisions are inspired by India

During the meeting, President Lula told Prime Minister Modi that the steps taken by Brazil at the G20 summit are inspired by the decisions taken by India at the G20 last year. President Silva said Brazil has taken steps to achieve the important goals set by India last year at this year’s conference.

Brazil can buy Tejas aircraft

According to information received from sources, Brazil is showing great interest in purchasing indigenous Tejas Mark 1-A fighter jets from India. This proposal can be a significant opportunity for the Indian defense sector. The Brazilian Air Force is preparing to buy new aircraft to increase its capacity.

At the same time, India is also showing interest in Brazil’s C-390 Millennium Transport Aircraft heavy lift aircraft. Discussions have already been held in this regard and a Brazilian delegation also visited India in September this year. If these defense agreements come to fruition, it will further strengthen the strategic and defense ties between the two countries.

G20 concluded in Rio de Janeiro

This year, the G20 summit was organized in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi, US President Joe Biden and all heads of state of the G20 countries participated. The meeting of Prime Minister Modi and President Lula during the summit is expected to further strengthen relations between the two countries.
