Caretaker Chief Minister of Maharashtra Eknath Shinde said in a press conference that he accepts the BJP’s CM in Maharashtra. He had given some clues when publishing the same Tuesday. But since Wednesday morning news started coming in that Eknath Shinde will not accept the post of deputy CM under any circumstances. Shiv Sainiks openly started demanding to be appointed CM. But at 3 o’clock Eknath Shinde himself appeared before the audience and said that we are hard-working people. He will be ready to do anything for the development of Maharashtra. He said Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have always supported him. I accept all your decisions. But the question arises why did it take 4 days to make this decision? Were negotiations taking place on behalf of Eknath Shinde? There is no doubt that Eknath Shinde would not have been willing to simply step down as the Chief Minister of the state. 1- The son is appointed Deputy Chief Minister and himself coordinator of the Mahayuti government.
It is believed that to send a message to Uddhav Thackeray and Aditya Thackeray, Eknath Shinde wants his son Shrikant Shinde to be given the post of deputy CM in the state. Shrikant Shinde has become an MP for the second time. Shrikant Shinde is a Lok Sabha member from Kalyan. One way to achieve this is to create a Grand Alliance Coordinator post like that of UPA President Sonia Gandhi. It is also said in political circles that Eknath Shinde is demanding an important job in the government. If Eknath Shinde himself becomes deputy CM, he will definitely want the Home Ministry. The post of Ministry of Home Affairs assumes a lot of importance in Maharashtra. Nowadays, no Chief Minister wants to become CM without the Home Ministry. In Uttar Pradesh, powerful CMs like Yogi Adityanath also keep the Home Ministry with them. In the previous Maharashtra government, Devendra Fadnavis had also retained the Home Ministry. The budget and power of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation is no less than that of any state government. Whoever rules BMC is truly the king of Mumbai. In Mumbai, Shiv Sena is stronger than its fellow parties. It is possible that for the sake of becoming king of BMC, a deal could be struck so that the BJP does not try to become king of Mumbai if it wins the Municipal Corporation elections.
