Three great faces of the parties involved in Mahayuti
The suspense over CM in Maharashtra continues even after 48 hours of election results. Where Shinde Sena supporters are trying with their statements to bring the Chief Minister’s chair closer to Eknath Shinde. At the same time, BJP supporters say that Fadnavis has the first right in this seat. After this, supporters of the Ajit group have also taken to the field with their demands.
The numerical strength is in favor of the BJP, so Devendra Fadnavis is leading the race, but Eknath Shinde’s supporters feel that if the elections are contested in his face, then he has the right to claim the CM’s post. On the other hand, Ajit Pawar’s camp argues that last time he had to be content with the post of deputy CM, but this time a formula must be devised for him to become CM too.
CM formula to be decided in Delhi
It is believed that Maharashtra leaders may meet BJP president JP Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah late in the night and the CM’s formula may be decided in this meeting. Devendra Fadnavis also arrived in Delhi to attend a private programme.
According to sources, during the 5-year term, the three leaders i.e. Devendra Fadnavis, Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar can become CM one by one. The formula will be 2-2-1. This means that the BJP candidate will be Chief Minister for two years, the Shiv Sena candidate for two years and the NCP candidate for one year.
Two and a half years or 2-2-1 years formula?
However, there is another problem with this. Some people also believe that the formula should not be 2-2-1 years but two and a half years. For example, as per the formula made last time, it was decided that BJP would be the CM for two and a half years and Shiv Sena would be the CM for two and a half years, then the Chief Minister should be declared accordingly. . However, what the final formula will be will only be known after the official announcement.
The interesting thing is that so far the leader of the BJP legislative party has not been elected, while Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar have been elected leaders of their respective parties. Another important thing is that the term of the state assembly will end on November 26. In such a situation, Mahayuti has less time and options to form the government.
Praful Patel said: All three parties have been equally successful.
NCP faction leader Ajit and MP Praful Patel said that we worked as a team and all three parties achieved success equally. Therefore, there is no discussion or difference of opinion. We’ll have to give it a day or two. We will all sit down together and find a solution. There will be no fighting, as our opponents try to imagine.
CM Shinde may resign tomorrow
There is also talk that Chief Minister Eknath Shinde may tender his resignation to the Governor tomorrow i.e. Tuesday. After this, Eknath Shinde will be appointed as interim Chief Minister by the Governor till the formation of the new government. Once the three political parties have discussed the CM, only then will the oath-taking ceremony take place.
