Newly elected US President Donald Trump gave a big responsibility to another Indian. Trump has appointed Dr. Jai Bhattacharya, born in Calcutta, India, director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) of the United States. Announcing Jai’s appointment, Trump said, I am very pleased to nominate Dr. Jai Bhattacharya as Director of the NIH. Dr. Bhattacharya will work with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in leading medical research in the country that will improve the country’s healthcare system.
Dr. Jai Bhattacharya has expressed his joy over his appointment. He said that Donald Trump has appointed me as director of the NIH. For this I feel honored and proud.
