New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party councilor Mahesh Kheri has been elected as the new mayor of Delhi. In the mayoral elections, a total of 265 votes were cast, of which two were declared invalid. AAP candidate Mahesh got 133 votes, while BJP candidate got 130 votes. The BJP gave a tough fight to the AAP in the mayoral elections. The BJP lost by just three votes.

According to the information, in numerical terms, the Aam Aadmi Party got 142 votes, which included three Rajya Sabha MPs, 13 MLAs and 126 councillors. While the BJP has 122 votes with the support of seven Lok Sabha MPs and 114 councillors.
