BJP to appoint observers for Maharashtra
After the assembly election results in Maharashtra, there is now a dilemma over the face of the Chief Minister in the state. The people of the state have given majority to the grand alliance of the BJP, Shiv Sena and the Ajit faction of the NCP. Even after three days of the results, Mahayuti has not been able to give the final seal to the Chief Minister’s name. According to sources, the BJP will soon decide the names of the observers. Observers will include senior party leaders and ministers.
Observers appointed by the party will attend the meeting of the Maharashtra BJP Legislative Party. Where, after discussing it with the MLAs, they will take a decision on the name of the party leader. It is believed that before the party’s legislative meeting, the BJP will decide which party will be the Chief Minister through a discussion with alliance allies.
BJP sources say that after such a big victory, party workers want BJP to become the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Top BJP leaders also believe that this sentiment of BJP workers will also be taken into account while selecting the Chief Minister in Maharashtra. According to BJP sources, there is no dispute when it comes to deciding which party will be the CM.
The BJP has an advantage in selecting the Chief Minister because it has won 132 seats on its own. While Shiv Sena of Shinde faction won 57 seats and NCP of Ajit faction won 41 seats. In such a situation, it is believed that the BJP can overpower its allies to become the chief minister. Anyway, there was no agreement on the face of the Grand Alliance Chief Minister before the elections.
There can be a formula of one Chief Minister and two Deputy Chief Ministers in Maharashtra. It is also being discussed that the post of Chief Minister may be considered for the next two and a half years. Eknath Shinde wants to hold the post of Chief Minister for the first two and a half years. After this, Devendra Fadnavis can get the command. These are all possibilities and discussions. However, the BJP is insisting on Fadnavis’ name for the Chief Minister’s post. On the other hand, leader Shinde demands that Eknath Shinde be made Chief Minister. Ajit Pawar’s faction has supported Devendra Fadnavis for the Chief Minister’s post.
