Disruption in Lok Sabha proceedings due to opposition stir
Winter Session of Parliament Live (Aaj Samaj), New Delhi: The winter session of Parliament begins today. It will last until December 20 and there will be 19 meetings in total. Many important bills and bills are likely to be introduced in Parliament this session. But as soon as the session began on Monday, the opposition started creating a ruckus. This was the situation in both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Meanwhile, Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar suspended proceedings in the House for the entire day. On the other hand, the Lok Sabha debates were repeatedly disrupted due to opposition uproar, due to which the Lok Sabha was also adjourned till 11:45.
On the other hand, it is said that the bills that the government is going to present in this session include three bills related to the shipping sector. The government will introduce a Coastal Shipping Bill, an Indian Ports Bill and a Merchant Shipping Bill. All three bills are very important for the development of Indian shipping. At the same time, 13 bills already presented were pending approval. Among them, the Banking Law Amendment Bill and the Waqf Bill are also included in the list.
Banking Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2024 to be introduced
The government will introduce the Banking Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2024. In this bill, the number of successors in a bank account will be increased to 4, i.e. now the account holder will be able to appoint four persons in your account. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will introduce the Banking Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2024.

12 bills introduced in monsoon session
The government had introduced 12 bills in the first monsoon session of the 18th Lok Sabha. Of these, four bills were also passed. These include the Finance Bill, 2024, the Appropriation Bill, 2024, the Jammu and Kashmir Appropriation Bill, 2024 and the Indian Aircraft Bill.
