A woman committed suicide by jumping from the third floor of the GIP Mall.
Noida: In Noida, Uttar Pradesh, a woman committed suicide by jumping from the third floor of GIP mall. The woman had reportedly come to visit the GIP mall located in the Sector 39 police station area on Wednesday night. A woman named Akanksha Sood is said to have suddenly jumped from the third floor of the mall. He was admitted to the hospital in critical condition where he died. According to information provided by the police, the woman was married in 2017 and was having a dispute with her husband.
‘I came to visit the GIP shopping center’
Inspector Jitendra Kumar Singh, in-charge of Sector 39 of the police station, said on Thursday that Akanksha had arrived at the GIP mall located in Sector 38A last night. Singh said Akanksha jumped from the third floor of the mall for unknown reasons. According to him, Akanksha was admitted to a hospital for treatment in critical condition, where she died. The police station in charge said that during the investigation, the police learned that the deceased was married in the year 2017 and was having a dispute with her husband.
‘The divorce case was underway’
The inspector in charge said that the woman had left her mobile phone at home. Giving information about the incident, DCP Ram Badan Singh said, ‘Last night after 9:30 pm, a woman committed suicide by jumping from the fire escape stairs near gate number 3 of GIP mall. The Aadhaar card and PAN card found with the woman revealed that she was a resident of Karawal Nagar. Her brother and sister-in-law said she married in 2017 and her divorce case is ongoing. She was always under stress and due to that stress she committed suicide.
