Chandigarh News: An impressive de-addiction workshop was organized on November 19 at Amravati Vidyalaya in collaboration with Brahma Kumari Sansthan. Key speakers Mahendra Kaur and Time Kamal Didi participated in this programme. He made the students aware of the harmful effects of drugs and the negative effects they have on life.
The workshop began with an inspirational song called Jaisa Dekhoge Waisa Banoge that encourages positive thinking and introspection among children. The speakers debated the causes of drug addiction, its consequences and ways to avoid it. Through a video, he clearly showed the harmful effects of tobacco, paan, cigarettes and other narcotics on health.
During the program a model was presented to show the effect of cigarettes on the lungs, showing how even a small cigarette blackens the lungs. Highlighting the importance of Rajyoga meditation, the speakers said that through knowledge we can recognize our inner strength and achieve balance in life.
At the end of the workshop, the school director made the students commit to not only avoiding drug addiction but also raising awareness among their families and society about it. He thanked the Brahmakumari team for the briefing.
This event inspired students toward a drug-free life and taught them the importance of positive thinking.
