Vadnagar and Dholavira are becoming tourism friendly
Vadnagar is a historical heritage site and the birthplace of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Understanding the historical and cultural importance of Vadnagar, the Gujarat government has spent Rs 70 crore in the last three years and developed many basic and modern tourist facilities here. Talking about the increasing number of tourists here, only 2 lakh 45 thousand tourists came here in the year 2022-23, but in 2023-24 this number increased almost three times to about 7 lakh.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, the state government has planned to develop several tourism facilities here at a cost of Rs 185 crore. In Phase 1, development work worth Rs 76 crore is currently being carried out. After the development of these tourist facilities, an even greater increase in the number of tourists will be seen here. In the year 2022-23, 1 lakh 41 thousand tourists arrived here, while in 2023-24 the number more than doubled to over 2 lakh 32 thousand.

Some other heritage sites of the state like Modhera Sun Temple, Rani Ki Vav and Adalaj Ki Vav are also becoming the first choice of thousands of tourists. The state government has also developed different tourism facilities here by spending Rs 20 million, Rs 18 million and Rs 5 million respectively. This is the reason why there has been an increase in the number of tourists here compared to last year. In 2022-23, the number of tourists here was 3 lakh 78 thousand, 3 lakh 52 thousand, 3 lakh 72 thousand respectively, while in 2023-24 this number was 3 lakh 81 thousand, 3 lakh 83 thousand and 3 lakh 86 thousand. respectively.
