(Yamunanagar News) Yamunanagar. Brigadier Vikas Rai Shandilya, Group Commander, recently visited Haryana’s 14 NCC Battalion Combined Annual Training Camp at Bilaspur. The objective of the camp was to train 350 NCC cadets and select the Ambala Group contingent for the Directorate level Republic Day Camp. Under the supervision of Commanding Officer Colonel Jarnail Singh and Administrative Officer Colonel Jitendra Singh Dahiya, the cadets received comprehensive military training at the camp.
Major Subedar Shahnaz Hussain and permanent training staff conducted the training, assisted by Associate Officers of NCC and Acting Officers of various institutions including ANO Captain Geetu Khanna, Lieutenant Dimple Kumar, Third Officer Puneet Bawra , Third Officer Gaurav Sharma and Dimple Saini. Cadets received rigorous training in various subjects, including drills, map reading, weapons training and field crafts. The camp focused on developing leadership, teamwork and self-reliance skills among the cadets. This camp served as a selection platform for the Ambala Group contingent to participate in the Republic Day Camp at the Directorate level. Brigadier Vikas Rai Shandilya’s visit underlined the importance of NCC training in training the youth of India. The Directorate of National Cadet Corps, established in 1948, aims to develop character, brotherhood and ideal citizenship among Indian youth.
