The government has approved the extension of the Noida-Greater Noida Aqua metro line. The Aqua Line metro project will run from Noida Sector-51 metro station to Knowledge Park-20 in Greater Noida. The development authorities have received approval for an initial capital of over Rs 4 billion for the expansion of 9 cities in the state. Funds have been approved for the substation and transmission line of the 800 MW solar power plant under construction in Chitrakoot. It has been decided to remove extra neutral alcohol from GST and put it under VAT. The Guarantee Rescue Fund will be established in the UP.
Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said that in the cabinet meeting it was decided to add 80 villages in KDA (Kanpur Development Authority) limits. Its objective is the development of the city of Kanpur. This decision was taken under the Chief Minister’s Urban Expansion Plan. Rs 3,000 crore has been proposed for the development of other urban areas in the state. 9 The Development Authority and the Housing Development Council receive 50 percent of the money for the purchase of land. Under this, a proposal was approved to provide Rs 4,164.16 crore as seed capital in 14 schemes to Saharanpur, Mathura-Vrindavan, Firozabad, Shikohabad, Lucknow, Moradabad, Khurja, Banda and Meerut Development Authority.
Guarantee Redemption Fund will be formed in UP
The Finance Minister said that the government provides loans from financial institutions to departments such as infrastructure, cooperation and rural development. It has been decided to create a Guarantee Redemption Fund in the state as per the guidelines of the Central Finance Commission, CAG and CAG. Its objective is that if any department fails to comply, it can be paid from the fund. There is provision for this fund in 19 states of the country. The state government has taken a guarantee of Rs 1,63,399.82 crore for this fund.
Extra neutral alcohol without GST
A decision has been taken to amend the GST in Uttar Pradesh. Extra neutral alcohol has been included in VAT from GST. This will increase UP’s revenue. Now we will obtain 100 percent benefit in income thanks to Extra Neutral Alcohol. There will be no changes to alcoholic beverage prices in the state. Bundelkhand has become a huge potential for solar energy. Currently, 4,000 MW solar energy projects are being implemented. An 800 MW project is being constructed in Chitrakoot. The power generated from this will be exported through the Government of India’s Green Energy Corridor. For this, two lines of 400/220 KV and 500 MVA will be built. Approval has been received for these. Its cost will be Rs 619.90 million.
