Police have arrested the driver of Uttar Pradesh cabinet minister Om Prakash Rajbhar’s son in connection with the robbery that took place two months ago at his Lucknow residence. Ramjit Rajbhar was arrested from his house in Ambedkar Tanda on Tuesday morning and was questioned about the money missing from the minister’s house.

Ramjeet Rajbhar is the driver of OP Rajbhar’s son and SubhaSP general secretary Arvind Rajbhar. On September 2, Rs 2.75 lakh cash was stolen from Arvind Rajbhar’s house. Police said Ramjit Rajbhar was arrested from Paharpur in Tanda Kotwali area.

Hussainganj police will bring accused Ramjit Rajbhar to Lucknow. An FIR has been lodged against him at the Hussainganj police station. The accused’s wife said that the police had come to look for Ramjeet. They took him away saying it was a matter of money. They later returned with him and searched the entire house.

A complaint was lodged with the police on behalf of another driver of Rajbhar’s son. In which it was stated that I would like to respectfully inform that I am the petitioner Sanjay Rajbhar, son of Radhakishun Rajbhar, resident of Kotwari Village, Rasda Police Station, Ballia District. I have been working as a driver at Arvind Rajbhar (103/104, Diamond Apartment, Purana Qila Sadar Bazar, Lucknow) for the last 10 years. I underwent surgery for oral cancer at Mendata Hospital in Lucknow last month. After discharge, I will stay with my wife at 103/104, Diamond Apartment, Purana Qila Sadar Bazar, Lucknow for follow-up.
On 02.09.2024, around 09 am in the morning, driver Ramjit Rajbhar, son of Sant Ram Rajbhar, resident of village Mohiuddinpur, Jagdishpur Ambedkarnagar district, Uttar Pradesh, came to Diamond Apartment and asked me how long have I been here? . So I told him that it would take me more time to come back today because I have to do a lot of tests today, maybe in the evening too. After this he went somewhere for his work and after a while I went to the hospital with my wife. Around 9:56 he asked me where I had kept the keys and I came. I told him that the guard has the key, so go get it.
When I returned around four in the afternoon, I opened the door and walked in, I saw that all the things inside were scattered. The chain of the bag kept in my room was also open. In which three lakh rupees were kept for treatment. Of which he had gone to the hospital with Rs 25,000, the remaining Rs 2,75,000 and his wife’s gold chain weighing about 18 grams and two gold rings weighing about three grams each were missing.
When I started calling Ramjit Rajbhar’s number, it said his number was switched off. I then reported this incident to Park Road Adharm Chaudhary. He told him not to panic, they will find him and give him his money back. It will be discovered where he has gone. His acquaintance Gorakh Sahni, son of a cook from Park Road, Gadhu-Dhanigaon village, district-Maharajganj, said he knows Ramjeet and has also been to his house. Don’t be afraid, stay calm, I will go with you to his village and collect the money. I trusted Gorakh and returned to Diamond. When I reached Park Road to meet Gorakh the next day, I saw that Gorakh was not here and his phone was also switched off.
I called their number again and again but each time they told me the phone was turned off. I believe drivers Ramjit Rajbhar and Gorakh Sahni together stole my money and jewellery. Therefore, the police are requested to register a first information report against driver Ramjit Rajbhar and cook Gorakh Sahni and take immediate steps so that my money and jewelery can be recovered.
