Coca-Cola ‘cold’ vs. Campa, Jio forced to make a bet
Even the best efforts fail in the face of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani’s masterstroke. Recently, Mukesh Ambani has caused a stir by starting a price war in the soft drinks market, so now the big players in the market have started losing their sweat. In fact, the price of Mukesh Ambani’s Campa brand products is much lower than that of Coca-Cola and Pepsi, so Coca-Cola and Pepsi face difficult challenges.
Coca-Cola has succumbed to Campa’s growing popularity. Now the company has planned to bet on Mukesh Ambani’s Jio. Yes, Coca Cola has entered into a price war to compete with Campa and is now forced to sell cheap cold drinks. Tell us what Coca Cola’s plan is?
Coca Cola will be available cheap
To compete with Campa, Coca-Cola has been forced to reduce the price of its 400 ml bottle from Rs 25 to Rs 20. This information has been given by sources related to the company’s distributors. According to Economic Times, these revised prices will be implemented in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala markets next week, however, no response has been received from Coca Cola in this regard so far.
The Economic Times report cited sources who said that the company is selling 400 ml bottles for Rs 25, they cannot suddenly change the packaging of the same bottles and print the price at Rs 20. So to attract customers they will bring new packaging in the market, their bottle packaging will be written as 250 ML and 150 ML free and the price will be 20 rupees.
Campa market is growing rapidly
Coca Cola is making the decision to cut costs at a time when the Coca Cola market is growing rapidly with low prices. Reliance Industries’ Campa Cola has reduced the price of its soft drink brands by Rs 5 to Rs 20, so Coca-Cola and Pepsi are facing competition and now they were also forced to enter this price war. Campa sells its 500 ml bottle at Rs 20, while Coca Cola sells its 400 ml bottle at Rs 25. Compared to a 2.25 liter bottle of Coca-Cola, there is a difference of Rs 20 in the price of a larger 2 liter bottle of Campa.
Coca-Cola distributors are also worried about this because they have a lot of stock of 250 ml bottles, which they currently sell for Rs 20. They will have to liquidate this stock before launching the 400 ml bottle on the market.
bet jio wala
When Mukesh Ambani launched Jio, he gave free SIM and internet to people. After this, the company kept its rates at less than half compared to other competing companies, so today Jio has become the largest telecom company in the market. Mukesh Ambani is an expert in doing business by giving things away. Every time they launch a product, they often include offerings that pose challenges to competing companies. Now Coca Cola is also going to adopt its formula to compete with Mukesh Ambani. It will be interesting to see who succeeds in this.
