According to this research, sleeping fewer hours can trigger the problem of high blood pressure which then affects the heart.
According to this study, sleeping less than seven hours affects health and increases the risk of high blood pressure and heart-related diseases. Especially in our country, women sleep less than men, they wake up early in the morning after sleeping late at night, in such a situation, women’s heart health is more affected by sleeping less. The study found that sleeping less than seven hours increased the risk of developing high blood pressure by seven percent, which could increase by 11 percent if sleep duration was less than five hours.
So many hours of sleep are necessary
Scientists associated with this research say that getting seven to eight hours of sleep is best for a healthy heart. While frequent sleep interruptions and lack of sleep increase the risk of high blood pressure and depression. This research has also combined data from 16 previous studies, which includes the analysis of more than 10 lakh people from 6 countries over the last 5 years who were suffering from the problem of high blood pressure due to lack of sleep.
Sleeping so many hours is dangerous
Furthermore, in this research it has been discovered that the problem of high blood pressure is very common in people who sleep less than five hours, and the tendency to smoke has also been found among them. Dr. Kaveh Hosseini, the director of this study, says that according to this study, the less sleep you get, the more likely you are to have high blood pressure in the future. Therefore, getting seven to eight hours of sleep each night is best for heart health. Similarly, diabetes and smoking increase the risk of high blood pressure by 20 percent.
