Gautam Adani’s business is spread across the country and abroad. Now his eyes are fixed on the ‘Himalaya’. Gautam Adani Group is actually looking for investment opportunities in Gelephu Mindfulness City in the neighboring country of Bhutan. Bhutan is going to start a mega municipality project on its southern border; Adani Group is considering this project. Let us know what the problem is…
Adani’s interest in the municipal project
Referring to the Adani Group’s interest in this project in a Bloomberg report, Gelephu Governor Lotay Tshering said that Bhutan is working on a municipal project of about 1,000 square kilometers near the border with India. Talks are on with Adani Group to build solar and hydroelectric plants in this project.
The Gelephu governor said hundreds of sites have been identified for renewable energy projects in this area. For which the project aims to establish a sustainable energy network with an estimated additional capacity of 20 gigawatts. This also includes contracts planned for the construction of roads, bridges and facilities that could attract large investors from Asia to invest. In addition to energy and hydroelectric projects, there is also talk of the construction of an international airport and a port here.
Adani Group’s dominance will increase
If this deal is closed with Adani Group, then Adani’s dominance in the neighboring country will increase further. Adani Group is expanding its existing projects in Israel, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Vietnam.
