Kavinder Gupta further said that he was our emerging leader and not only the Bharatiya Janata Party but entire Jammu has suffered a loss. Many such plans were devised which now remain incomplete due to his departure.

PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti also expressed grief over the demise of Devendra Singh Rana. Devendra Singh Rana joined politics from business. The headquarters of Nagrota was considered its stronghold. He was elected MLA from there three times. In the year 2021, Devendra Singh Rana left North Carolina and joined the BJP. After this, the party gave him a ticket in the assembly elections held in the year 2024 and he showed his magic once again and won with abundant votes.
