On the occasion of Diwali, Ramlala, sitting in the great temple of Ayodhya, wore yellow clothes. After the construction of the temple, on the first Diwali of Ramlala, where the boy Ram wore Pitambara, he was also offered special sweets. These sweets were handed over to Champat Rai, general secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
The sweets decorated with goldwork were prepared from various types of nuts. It was prepared with American blueberries, European hazelnuts, Mamra almonds and saffron. Kshitij Aggarwal, who made this sweet, said it took 12 hours to make.
Once ready, the sweets were handed over to Champat Rai ji and he to the temple priests. This Ramlala offering is made only in the kitchen of Shri Ram temple. Today, on Diwali, they offered him different dishes.
At the same time, Ramlala was dressed in yellow silk clothes and dhoti. Along with the silk embroidery, gold and silver wire embroidery was also done on the yellow silk fabric. Many girls were also adorned with garlands and jewelry. Vaisnava symbols were decorated with silver wires on the yellow clothes of the Ram boy.
Along with the boy Ram (great statue of Ramlala), Ramlala and his three brothers who were sitting in the tent in the sanctum sanctorum of the great temple were also wearing yellow clothes. Because yellow color is considered auspicious and silk clothing is also considered auspicious.
28 lakh lamps lit in Ayodhya
On the other hand, this is the first light festival after the inauguration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, hence the UP government has set a new record by lighting 28 lakh lamps on the banks of the Saryu river. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while wishing people a happy Diwali, described it as an important festival of Sanatan Dharma tradition in India. Chief Minister Yogi said: Thousands of years ago, in memory of the arrival of Lord Shri Ram from Maryada Purushottam to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile and the beginning of Ramrajya, devotees across India started celebrating this festival by decorating their houses with garlands of lamps. CM Yogi said that this year’s Diwali is “historic” because after a long wait of 500 years, Lord Shri Ramlala has sat in his abode.
