4 percent increase in dearness allowance from today
Punjab CM News (Aaj Samaj), Chandigarh: In view of rising inflation, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has given relief to government employees and pensioners of the state by increasing their dearness allowance. This increase will come into effect from today, that is, November 1. Giving information in this regard, the government spokesperson said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann announced a 4 per cent increase in the Dearness Allowance (DA) and at the same time gave Diwali gift to the families of over of 6.50 lakh state government employees and pensioners.

It was approved to provide a 4 percent dearness allowance (DA) to employees and pensioners from November 1, 2024, so the dearness allowance has now increased from 38 percent to 42 percent. Bhagwant Singh Mann said this decision will benefit more than 6.50 lakh employees, pensioners and their families.
Employees are an important part of the state administration.
He said employees are an important part of the state administration and protecting their interests is the top priority of the government. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that no stone is left unturned for this noble cause and all possible efforts are being made for the welfare of the employees.

Government issued helpline number on black marketing of chemicals
Aaj Samaj, Chandigarh: Just before wheat sowing, there is shortage of DAP in the state. While on one hand the farmers have made preparations for sowing wheat, on the other hand they are facing problems due to DAP not receiving the necessary chemicals for sowing. The government has also accepted that there is a shortage of DAP in the state. Recently, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann met Union Minister for Fertilizers and Chemicals JP Nadda and requested that required quantity of DAP be provided to Punjab. On the other hand, amid reports of black marketing of stocks in the state, the state government has issued a helpline number. About which any farmer can complain about the person who has done black marketing of DAP or other essential chemicals.
