According to the news agency, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Vijay Shankar Mishra said Fatehpur district correspondent Dilip Saini (45) was attacked with a knife by some people on Wednesday night near the Bhitaura bypass in Sadar Kotwali area of ​​the city. . His colleague Shahid Khan, who came to Dilip’s rescue, was also injured in the attack. Dilip Saini died during treatment at Kanpur’s Halat Hospital, while Shahid is still undergoing treatment.

The ASP reported that based on the journalist’s wife’s complaint, a case has been registered against seven named and some unidentified people and four of them have been detained. Currently investigation into the case is going on and strict action will be taken against the culprits.

According to information received, Dilip Saini, a resident of Chak Bisauli of Fatehpur district, was living with his wife and family in Rajajipuram, Lucknow. I used to work for a news agency in Fatehpur for a long time. While living in Fatehpur, Dilip Saini used to stay in his garden near Bisauli on Bhitaura Road. It is said that around 12 pm on Wednesday about 15 people attacked in the courtyard over a minor dispute.

Journalist Dilip Saini present at the scene was stabbed during the demolition. While defending himself, the journalist’s colleague Shahid Khan was also attacked with a sharp weapon and fled the scene. Other people who were in the yard took the two injured to the regional hospital. Where the doctors, considering his critical condition, referred him to Kanpur. Where the journalist died. Shahid’s treatment continues at Halat Kanpur. Relatives later blocked the main road demanding the immediate arrest of the killers. After much persuasion, the police agreed and sent the body for an autopsy.
