Government earned Rs 2,060 crore from e-auction
Punjab News (Aaj Samaj), Chandigarh: State Minister for Housing and Urban Development Hardeep Singh Mundiya said the credit for the success of this e-auction goes to the transparency and pro-investment policy of the government under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. He said that two months ago Rs 3,000 crore was earned through e-auction and adding today’s amount, a total of Rs 5,000 crore was earned through e-auction in the last two months, which shows that the government due to policies of urban development. from the Government, people’s confidence in the real estate sector is increasing.
Development authorities working under the Department of Housing and Urban Development have earned revenue of Rs 2,060 crore from e-auction of various properties. The auctioned properties include collective housing, petrol pumps, hotel plots, OCS, sheds, industrial and residential lands under the jurisdiction of development authorities.

The electronic auction began on October 18.
Mundia said the electronic auction that began on October 18 ended yesterday afternoon. He said that from the positive support received for this e-auction held in a month, it is clear that the Chief Minister’s efforts to attract investors to the state have been successful. He revealed that the auction process was completely transparent and the wishes of those who wanted houses or wanted to manage shopping centers were met.

Congratulating the successful bidders, the Minister of Housing and Urban Development said that the possession of the auctioned land will be handed over to the bidders within the deadline fixed in the auction. He said the e-auction results showed that bidders showed interest in the properties available across the state as the auctioned sites were located in Mohali, Amritsar, Patiala, Ludhiana, Bathinda and Sangrur.
