Joshi summons order issued
Chandigarh (Present Society) Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Secretary TVSN Prasad retired yesterday. 1988 IAS officer TVSN Prasad retired from the post of Chief Secretary on Diwali (October 31). Due to Diwali holidays, he retired while sitting at home. In his place, Vivek Joshi, a senior IAS officer, will now be the chief secretary in Haryana. The orders for Joshi’s appointment were issued last night. But the date and time of Joshi’s joining has not been decided. Therefore, until the new Chief Secretary comes on board, Anurag Rastogi has been appointed as the Chief Secretary. Orders in this regard were also issued on the same day of Diwali. Rastogi is a 1990 batch IAS officer. Before TVSN Prasad, former Haryana chief secretary IAS officer Sanjeev Kaushal was retired. He also retired sitting at home on July 31, a public holiday. Leave was taken only after Naib Singh Saini became Haryana Chief Minister.
During his last period of service he was on paid leave. It is worth noting that during the assembly elections, Naib Saini had said that complaints of infighting by some officials in the Lok Sabha and assembly elections had also reached him. Action is currently being taken against these agents. On Wednesday (October 30), a day before Diwali, 36 IPS officers were transferred. Now the deputy commissioners of many districts can also be transferred from here to there.
Joshi has held the post of Joint Secretary, Ministry of Finance.
Vivek Joshi has also worked with the Government of Haryana as Principal Secretary, Monitoring and Coordination, UED, Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority. During 2014-2017 he served as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Finance, Government of India. During this period, he used to advise the government in formulating public procurement policies. She also served as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India (2010-2014).
