The festival of Diwali was celebrated with great pomp all over the world. Many world leaders wished the people. Former US President Donald Trump also wished Diwali and condemned the attack on Hindus in Bangladesh, so Vishwa Hindu Parishad national spokesperson Vinod Bansal welcomed Trump’s statement. He said thanks to Trump for raising the voice of Hindus and other minorities oppressed by Islamic jihadist forces in Bangladesh.

Vinod Bansal appealed to world leaders and asked why world leaders are silent about the atrocities being committed against minorities in Islamic countries. Tagging the UN Human Rights Commission on his social media platform X, he asked where the Human Rights Commission is and why it is silent.

What did Trump say?

Spokesman Vinod Bansal further said that Hindus are the only people facing persecution not only in countries under the influence of jihadist forces like Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan. Rather, they also face denial of their harassment. Earlier, in a social media post, Trump had said that he strongly condemned the barbaric violence against Hindus, Christians and other minorities in Bangladesh. He said Bangladeshi minorities are being attacked and looted. Bangladesh is in a state of complete anarchy. Apart from this, Trump accused his rival Kamala Harris and President Joe Biden and said that they have ignored Hindus around the world and in the United States.

Referring to India, Trump said: In my administration we will further strengthen our partnership with India and with my good friend Prime Minister Modi.

Taking aim at Kamala Harris, he said, Kamala Harris will destroy small businesses by raising taxes, while I will reduce them. Wishing Diwali, the former President said: I hope this festival of lights ensures the victory of good over evil. In recent months there was a coup in Bangladesh, due to which the situation in the country worsened. A mob of people attacked the Hindus, in which many Hindus were killed and many injured. Therefore, incidents of arson and looting in many houses also came to light.
