The clash between Ajay Devgan starrer ‘Singham Again’ and Kartik Aryan starrer ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ had become the favorite topic of film fans for the last few weeks. The kind of competition that the makers of these films meet on Diwali has continuously remained in the news.
After all, now both the films have hit the theaters and no matter if you are siding with either of the two films, one thing is for sure, Diwali is going to be a blast for the theatres. Both the films will start with huge advance bookings and the box office, which was deserted for several weeks this year, will finally breathe a sigh of relief.

Booking for Kartik Aryan’s film started earlier and the makers started pre-booking with individual screens on Sunday itself. However, the film’s booking in national multiplex chains began after ‘Singham Again’.
On the other hand, the hiring of Ajay Devgan’s film began much later. But after opening the bookings they progressed very fast because ‘Singham Again’ is a mass film and has stars whose fan following is strong among Hindi film audiences across the world. According to Sacknilk, more than 5 lakh tickets for both the films had been pre-booked till Thursday night.
However, one thing is surprising that ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’, which is considered the smaller film among the two, is all set to make a big splash. Its pre-booking was stronger than ‘Singham Again’. More than 5.5 lakh tickets were booked for Karthik’s film and with this the film earned an advance gross collection of approximately 17 crores.
On the other hand, the reason for the low booking figures of ‘Singham Again’ is the late start of bookings. But it was not far behind Karthik’s film. A little over 5 lakh tickets were booked for Ajay Devgan’s film and its advance gross collection was Rs 15.7 crore.
Both the films will together create the Diwali explosion.
‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ is a slightly smaller film than ‘Singham Again’ and also had fewer screens. But Karthik Aryan’s stardom seems to give him a good start. ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ is expected to release in the range of Rs 30-35 crore on the first day, which will be the biggest opening of Karthik’s career.
The advance booking of ‘Singham Again’ indicates that this film can be a big surprise at the box office. Its initial collection is estimated to be around Rs 40 million. Because its booking may be less than ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’, but it is a film with high demand at the box office.
Going by advance bookings and early trends on Friday, both ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ and ‘Singham Again’ will give a big Diwali to the box office. The total net collection of both the films can easily reach Rs 70 crore. The future of both films will be decided by word of mouth and reviews, but their biggest impact will be seen in day two earnings.
