(Mahendragarh News) Narnaul. The birth anniversary of India’s first Home Minister and great freedom fighter, Iron Man, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was celebrated as National Unity Day today. On this occasion, ‘Run for Unity’ was organized from ITI Ground to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Stadium in a district level program organized by the District Administration and Sports Department. During this, thousands of citizens ran together to spread the mantra of fitness and unity of the country. Former minister and Narnaul MLA Om Prakash Yadav and Mahendragarh MLA Kanwar Singh Yadav attended the program as chief guests. Deputy Commissioner Monica Gupta (IAS) and Superintendent of Police Arsh Verma were also present on this occasion. On this occasion everyone took an oath of unity.
Narnaul MLA Om Prakash Yadav, addressing the program after offering flowers at the portrait of Sardar Patel, said that today is a very special day. Today the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Diwali are celebrated simultaneously.
He said that this country will always remember the contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who united this country. He was a very visionary and brave leader. He gave the motto of Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat. Sardar Patel’s birth anniversary is celebrated as National Unity Day due to his most important contribution to the geographical and political integration of India.
Addressing the programme, Mahendragarh MLA Kanwar Singh Yadav said that after independence, Sardar Patel created this country by showing foresight. For the unity and integrity of the country, the vision of Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat, One India, United India came true. We all should be inspired by his great personality and always remain dedicated to this country.
He said that in our country there are many religions and many languages but our culture is one. Sardar Patel, who gave geographical, political and cultural identity to the country, will always be remembered.
On reaching the Subhash stadium, SDM’s Dr Jitendra Singh and municipal magistrate Manjeet Kumar welcomed the guests.
Municipal council president Kamlesh Saini, BJP district president Dayaram Yadav, JP Saini, Sarita Jangid and other distinguished citizens were also present on this occasion. Pankaj Gaur commanded the stage.
MLA Kanwar Singh Yadav and Superintendent of Police ran with the players
Mahendragarh MLA Kanwar Singh Yadav also ran in the Unity Run held from Narnaul ITI Ground to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Stadium at the district level. Superintendent of Police Arsh Verma along with MLA Kanwar Singh Yadav left their car and ran with the players on this 4-5 kilometer long route from the ITI ground to the stadium till the end. The players also remained enthusiastic after seeing the MLA running until the end.
Run for Unity Winners Honored
On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the winning players were honored in the Run for Unity program organized by the District Administration and Sports Department.
Former minister and Narnaul MLA Om Prakash Yadav and Mahendragarh MLA Kanwar Singh Yadav honored the winners by presenting them with shields.
Among the girls, Kiran, daughter of Bhandor Neechi, Anand and Megha, daughter of Balaycha, Dinesh jointly took first place. Rahul, daughter of Pranjal from Mahendragarh, stood second and Rajesh Soni, daughter of Himanshi, stood third.
Similarly, among the boys, Devendra, son of Hrithik of Keshav Nagar Narnaul stood first, Vijay, son of Nitin of Narnaul stood second and Hari Singh, son of Amit Narnaul stood third.
