Arya Samaj Fatehabad performed Havan Yagya with Vedic chants in the courtyard of Arya Samaj Bhavan located in Sunder Nagar on the occasion of Sharadiya Navassyeshti Diwali festival and Swami Dayanand Saraswati Day of Sacrifice. Deepak Shastri, the Brahma priest of the yagya, said there are only 15 days left until the end of autumn. After 15 days, autumn will reign everywhere and everyone will have to accept the rule of winter. At the end of the rainy season and the arrival of winter, people have to make some special preparations.
Due to heavy rain during the rainy season, the atmosphere and houses often become dirty and smell bad. They require purification and cleansing. Havan Yagya modifies the environment and cleaning the house is done by plastering and painting. At the same time, Shravani’s harvest arrives. The farmer’s joy has no limits, his house is full of rice, sesame. moong, millet and cotton.
He said that on this occasion, the ritual of performing Yagya of the new grains is described in our scriptures. The great patriot Dayanand Saraswati ji, who reawakened this dormant tradition, was remembered and greeted with emotion on his death anniversary in 1419, Nirvana Diwas. On this occasion, Suman Railhan presented devotional and wise hymns in a melodious voice. On this occasion, the hosts of the yagya were former Arya Samaj director Banshilal Arya, Pioneer School director Vijay Nirmohi and Sunita Anand.
