Private schools had received threats
Even before this, such threatening mails and letters had been received many times in Rajasthan. Earlier in May this year, there was an uproar in Jaipur following the threat to bomb private schools. This threat was made through an email after which the schools were evacuated.
The principal of the MPS school was the first to receive the threatening email, after which he immediately informed the police. As soon as the police and ATS commandos took over the spot, it was found that a similar mail had been sent to around 44 schools, including Maheshwari School, Vidya Ashram and St. Teresa’s in Jaipur itself.
In the threatening email it was written: “There is a bomb in the school building that can explode at any moment.” After this, the police evacuated all schools and took all children and teachers to safety. At the same time, the bomb disposal team along with the dog team carried out a search operation in the schools for hours, but no suspicious object was found in any school.
