Govardhan Puja 2024: Govardhan Puja celebrated on Pratipada of Shukla Paksha of the month of Kartik has a special significance. Govardhan Puja is performed the day after Diwali. Auspicious Time of Govardhan Puja (Govardhan Puja 2024 Shubh Muhurat)

The Pratipada Tithi of Govardhan Puja started on 1st November i.e. today at 6:16 pm and the Tithi will end on 2nd November i.e. tomorrow night at 8:21 pm According to Udayatithi, this time the Govardhan and Annakoot festival will be celebrated only on November 2.

Govardhan Pujan Vidhi

On the day of Govardhan Puja, Govardhan is made with cow dung and decorated with flowers. During the puja, incense, naivedya, lamp, flowers and fruits, etc. are offered to Govardhan. On this day, Govardhan ji takes the form of a man lying with cow dung. An earthen lamp is kept at the place of the navel. Milk, curd, Ganges water, honey and batash, etc. are put in this lamp. It is then distributed as Prasad. After worshiping, Govardhan ji circumambulates seven times. At the time of parikrama, parikrama is performed by pouring water from a pot on the hand and sowing barley. Lord Vishwakarma is also worshiped on the day of Govardhan Puja. On this occasion, machines and factories are worshiped.
