Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the indoor sports complex in Ujjain. On this occasion, the CM said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has made remarkable strides in the direction of sports. A new sports culture has emerged due to the development of world-class infrastructure in player diet, training, education and sports. He said that sport awakens mutual trust, security and courage in life. Prime Minister Modi’s government has set the goal of a healthy India by making sports a part of life.

Inaugurating the multi-purpose indoor sports complex built at a cost of Rs 11.43 crore in Ujjain on the 69th Foundation Day of Madhya Pradesh, the CM said the state has made sports part of the curriculum by implementation of the new educational policy. Now sports teachers and player coaches in the state will also have the same opportunities as teachers.

CM said: The players will bring glory to the country and the state.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Ujjain has a golden history in sports like gymnastics, athletics, basketball, Malkhamb etc. Nowadays, when it comes to the Malkhamb game in the country, Ujjain’s name comes first. Malkhamb and Gymnastics Academy are also held in Ujjain. From these sports complexes, the young players of Malwa region will make the most of their sporting skills and bring glory to the country and the state by winning medals at the national and international level.

Chief Minister Dr Yadav said that under Prime Minister Modi’s government, India has continuously won medals in hockey at the Olympics. State hockey player Vivek Sagar was also part of the medal-winning team and his achievement made the state proud. Chief Minister Dr Yadav also announced that he will soon provide artificial turf stadium facilities in Ujjain to promote hockey and Dhyanchand competitions. He said the Kshirsagar stadium will also soon be converted into a multi-purpose complex. Along with this, a world-class cricket stadium will soon be built on the grounds of Vikram University.

He also played table tennis.

The Chief Minister visited the sports complex and also watched the Malkhamb match at the Malkhamb Arena. He also enjoyed shooting at the shooting range at the new sports complex. He also played table tennis with table tennis player Anuj Mishra. During the meeting, the Chief Minister spoke to the badminton, table tennis and athletics players and encouraged them.

Features of the multipurpose sports complex.

Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Sports Complex is built on approximately 18 acres of land. This sports complex was built at a cost of Rs 11.43 million. The newly built sports complex also has a multi-purpose sports complex with international standard synthetic athletics track, state-of-the-art gymnasium with facilities for badminton, table tennis, Malkhamb Arena, shooting, football field, lawn tennis court , player lobby, etc. for the comfort of the players. There is also a seating arrangement for the spectators along with the players.
