The killer cut Devdas into pieces with the same helicopter that Devdas used to keep under his pillow for years when he slept for his safety. This incident took place in Palam area of South West district. The killer, Adhik Rawat, stayed in the same apartment for a week after the murder so that no one would suspect anything.
A 55-year-old man named Devdas was murdered in his own apartment in Palam, Delhi. The police came to know about this murder on Chhoti Diwali i.e. 30th October. A person called the Delhi Police control room and reported that a foul smell was coming from the apartment in his building.
The deceased was the owner of the building.
When the police team reached there, they saw that the door of the apartment was locked from outside. After this, they called the firefighters, who broke the lock and opened the apartment door. When the police team entered, they saw that there was another room inside which was locked from the outside. When that door was broken, a corpse wrapped in clothes lay in very poor condition inside.

This corpse belonged to the owner of this building. People in the neighborhood said that Devdas, who was the owner of this building, lived in this apartment. To take care of him, there was a woman living with him who came to his house in Andhra Pradesh around October 10.
24-year-old accused arrested
The police further got information that after the woman left for Andhra Pradesh, a 24-year-old boy named Adhik Rawat used to frequently visit Devdas’ house. When the police inquired about Adhikari Rawat, they found him missing from his house. When the police traced Yuchi Rawat’s location, they found that he was from Jalesar in Uttar Pradesh. After this, a team of Delhi Police immediately left for Jalesar and from there returned to Delhi after arresting Adhikari Rawat.
When the police questioned Ushi Rawat about Devdas, he initially tried to mislead the police, but later he not only confessed to the crime but also revealed the motive for the murder.
Devdas had slapped the accused.
According to South West district DCP Surendra, Adhik Rawat said during interrogation that when he reached Devdas’ apartment around 8 pm on October 21, Devdas was drinking alcohol. He also offered liquor to Uthik and suddenly Devdas started abusing Uthik. After this, Adhikari picked up the pillow that was on Devdas’ bed, placed the helicopter under it and killed Devdas. Adhikari told the police that even earlier Devdas had slapped him two or three times for no reason.

After the murder, Adhikari locked the body in the room. Then he changed his clothes. I stayed there that night. After this, till October 27, Adhikari came to the flat every day and started the engine of the building. But on October 27, Utthi went to his village. When the smell began to increase on October 30, neighbors called the police. The police also recovered a blood-stained helicopter from the accused.
