What is Vishwakarma plan?
Through the Prime Minister Vishwakarma Yojana, people with traditional skills like goldsmith, blacksmith, barber and cobbler will get benefits in many ways. The government has included 18 traditional skilled trades in the scheme, which will help artisans and craftsmen present in rural and urban areas across India. These include carpenters, ship makers, blacksmiths, locksmiths, goldsmiths, potters who make clay utensils and other items, sculptors, masons, fishing net makers, toy makers, and others.
Rs 3 Lakh Loan in Two Steps
The biggest benefit under the Prime Minister Vishwakarma Yojana will be that if any capable person wants to start his own business and is facing problems due to financial problems, he can apply for a loan under this scheme. In this, loans of up to Rs 3 lakh are given. Under this, a loan of Rs 1 lakh is given in the first phase to start a business and then for expansion, a loan of up to Rs 2 lakh can be taken in the second phase. This loan is provided at only 5 percent interest.
Help of 15000 rupees
To further enhance the skills of people in the 18 trades decided under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme, training is also being imparted through expert trainers. In addition to this, a stipend of Rs 500 per day is given. Beneficiaries receive a PM Vishwakarma certificate and ID card, skill enhancement related to basic and advanced training, toolkit incentive of Rs 15,000 and digital transaction incentive.
Who can benefit?
The applicant must be a citizen of India. Furthermore, Vishwakarma should belong to one of the 18 prescribed offices. The applicant’s age must be over 18 years old and under 50 years old. Apart from this, there must be a certificate in the related trade. You must belong to one of the 140 castes included in the regime.

To apply for this scheme, Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Income Certificate, Caste Certificate, Identity Card, Residence Certificate, Passport Size Photograph, Bank Passbook and Valid Mobile Number will be required. .

- Click on the Apply Online option link present here.
- Now here you will have to register.
- The registration number and password will be sent to your mobile via SMS.
- After this, read the registration form carefully and fill it out completely.
- Scan and upload all required documents along with the completed form.
- Now check the information entered in the form once again and submit it.
