There are only a few days left for the elections in Maharashtra. In such a situation, the political temperature of the state is high. Meanwhile, the split in the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has now affected the Pawar family’s famous Diwali Padwa celebrations. Because for the first time, Sharad Pawar and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar have organized separate programs in Pune district. In this regard, Ajit Pawar’s son says that this is being done at the request of the workers. Before the NCP split in July last year, Ajit Pawar used to attend programs held in Govindbagh with his family.
In fact, a Diwali Padwa event is being organized at NCP (SP) supremo Sharad Pawar’s Govindbagh residence, where family members, party functionaries and friends of the opposition leader have always gathered during Diwali for years. The second event will be organized at Ajit Pawar’s native village Katewadi farm in Baramati. Ajit Pawar also posted about this on X on Friday. In this he had said that he will organize Diwali Padwa celebrations in his native village at 6:30 pm on Saturday afternoon, where he will meet residents and NCP officials.
Baramati’s grandfather is only Ajit Pawar: Parth
Now the statement of Ajit Pawar’s elder son Parth Pawar in this regard has also come to light. In a special conversation with Aaj Tak, Parth said that Sharad Pawar and we have different views. Last year we wanted to celebrate Padwa (Diwali), but due to the division of the festival, we were stuck. This time the workers demanded, only then did we celebrate Padwa. After this we will perform this ritual every year. Our Padwa will be held separately. We have chosen our path. You can also look at it from a political point of view. Baramati has only one grandfather, Ajit Dada. People come from all over Maharashtra. We will win, there is no doubt about that.
According to PTI, Sharad Pawar’s daughter and Lok Sabha MP from Baramati Supriya Sule said that she was not aware of the program organized by Ajit Pawar. However, he said everyone is waiting for the celebration to be organized at Govindbagh. He said, “People are coming from all over the state to congratulate Pawar Saheb, so we look forward to this happy day.”
Competition between uncle and nephew for Baramati seat
Let us tell you that Diwali is being celebrated in the midst of the upcoming assembly elections, in which there will be a fierce contest between Ajit Pawar and his nephew and NCP (SP) candidate Yugendra Pawar in Baramati. The Lok Sabha elections in Baramati once again witnessed family differences along party lines as Ajit Pawar’s wife Sunetra Pawar defeated sitting MP Sule, who won easily.
There was a split in the NCP after Ajit Pawar and eight MLAs joined Eknath Shinde’s government in July last year. Later, the Election Commission recognized the Deputy Chief Minister’s faction as the real NCP and gave it the electoral symbol of “clock”, while Sharad Pawar’s group was named CPN (SP) and its electoral symbol was “the man playing al tutari” Went.
The Maharashtra Assembly elections will be held on November 20, while the results will be announced on November 23.
