Now all the remaining players will be seen in the auction, which includes the names of many star players. Meanwhile, some big news regarding a legendary player has come to light. This captain will not play in IPL 2025!

The last date of registration for the IPL mega auction is Sunday i.e. November 3. Meanwhile, news has emerged that England Test team captain Ben Stokes will not be giving his name at the auction. According to The Telegraph report, Ben Stokes will make this decision due to his focus on Test cricket. Let us tell you, Ben Stokes was not a part of last season either. He was last seen playing in IPL 2023, when he was a part of Chennai Super Kings. Chennai Super Kings bought him for Rs 16.25 crore, but he could only play a few matches due to injury.

Ben Stokes reportedly wants to return to white-ball cricket for England. He played his last T20 match for England in the 2022 T20 World Cup. He took a 180 degree turn since his retirement from One Day International and returned in the 2023 ODI World Cup. But now there are reports that under the leadership of Brendon McCullum, may return once again to the ODI and T20 team. The Champions Trophy will also be played early next year. In such a situation, Ben Stokes can make a big decision regarding his career.

This BCCI rule increased the tension.

A new BCCI rule is also believed to be one of the reasons why Stokes withdrew from the auction. In fact, according to the new rules of the IPL Governing Council, if a foreign player withdraws his name without any valid reason after being sold at the auction, he can be banned for two years. It has been seen many times that foreign players leave their franchises at the beginning of the season, in such a situation the BCCI has made this rule.
