Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri attacked National Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, accusing him of spreading false propaganda against the government. Hardeep Singh Puri said that the Congress Party has once again become active on social media regarding fabricated figures and false data. He wrote that not even the senior leaders of the party investigate the veracity of these events and express their opinions.

Unemployment rate decreased in 2022-23
Hardeep Singh Puri wrote that today India’s GDP has grown at an average rate of more than 6.5%. The unemployment rate has reduced to 3.2% in 2022-23. According to PLFS, the youth unemployment rate (15-29 years) has decreased from 17.8% in 2017-18 to 10% in 2022-23. Hardeep Singh Puri raised the question: where does Kharge ji see a situation like anarchy? They may know that the proportion of the working population has increased by approximately 26% between 2017 and 2023. They are clearly sharing incorrect data or their advisors are lying. This is a misleading figure for young people.

Household savings ratio increased during Modi period
Hardeep Singh Puri said that once again I want to tell Kharge ji that after the pandemic there has been a change in the overall savings structure of the household sector. The proportion of household savings held in provident funds and pension funds was 10% in 2011-12, rising to 21% in 2022-23. He said Kharge ji should also stop spreading rumors about GST. India’s inflation rate in 2023 was lower than the global average of 1.4 percent. The RBI expects headline inflation of 4.5% in FY2025 and 4.1% in FY2026.
