The winter session of Parliament has been announced. According to sources, the session will begin on November 25 and will continue till December 20. Many important bills will be discussed during this period. In this session, all eyes are on the Waqf Board Amendment Bill and the One Nation-One Election Bill. Both the bills are likely to be introduced in Parliament, which will cause quite a stir in Parliament.

There may be discussion on One Nation-One Election

In fact, the one country, one election proposal was approved by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cabinet in September. After which it was said that the proposal would be tabled in the winter session of Parliament. However, opposition parties oppose a country’s decision, an election. He does not agree with this decision of the Government of India.

The JPC report may be presented in the Waqf Board

On the other hand, the report of the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) formed on the Waqf Board Amendment Bill may also be submitted. It is noteworthy that Home Minister Amit Shah said regarding the Waqf Board Amendment Bill that the Waqf Board Amendment Bill 2024 will be passed in the winter session. In such a situation, there may be a huge uproar in Parliament regarding these two bills. Following the removal of Article 370, a new government was formed in Jammu and Kashmir. In such a situation, it is speculated that a bill to grant full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir could also be introduced in Parliament.
