Addressing Prime Minister Narendra Modi through a post on social media platform X, former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot highlighted the work done by the Rajasthan Congress government for social and economic justice. He wrote that the Congress government has a track record of delivering on promises of an inclusive approach.
Gehlot said that the Congress manifesto was the basis of the Rajasthan government’s policies and in every term, the party discussed this manifesto in the first cabinet meeting and adopted it as a policy document. He said that on the basis of this manifesto, many welfare schemes benefiting the public were drawn up and implemented in time. Ashok Gehlot urged the Prime Minister that the social security and health care schemes drawn up by the Congress government in Rajasthan be studied and implemented across the country. Referring to the Old Pension Plan (OPS), he said that this plan has increased the social security of state employees. Furthermore, he termed the Social Security Pension and Minimum Income Act as an important achievement of the Congress government.
