(Jind News) Jind. After the Diwali festival, the climate of Jind becomes increasingly poisonous. After this, the Diwali festival was celebrated for two days on Thursday and Friday. Due to which many fireworks were performed at different places on both days. The smoke from these firecrackers has already spread into the atmosphere. Which is causing eye irritation. The maximum AQI in the district has reached the danger zone, i.e. above 400. It is considered dangerous for health. Due to increased pollution, there was smog in the atmosphere on Saturday morning.

It is noteworthy that there were huge fireworks throughout the night of Thursday and Friday of Diwali. So on Saturday morning there was smog in the atmosphere. Cases of crop residue burning have also been continuously reported in the district since last month. Because of this, the AQI was around 300 for a week. Diwali fireworks further increased pollution. The ICA remained close to 400 with smog in the urban area itself. This level of pollution is extremely dangerous for respiratory patients, children and the elderly.

The burning sensation increases due to the continuous entry of polluting particles into the eyes. Especially asthma patients face many problems due to this weather. Although Jind’s AQI has been above 400 for the past few years, this time the administration has taken strict action against crop residue burning and cases of stubble burning are decreasing. Last year, the ICA remained at this level during these days. Civil Hospital assistant civil surgeon Dr Rajesh Bhola said:
Environmental pollution weakens the immune system. In such a situation, avoid direct contact with air during contamination. Continue to clean your eyes frequently with normal water.

In case of excessive itching or burning, consult an ophthalmologist. Fireworks have had a negative impact on air quality. It is natural for respiratory patients to face problems due to this. There is difficulty breathing. There are more problems especially during physical exertion.
