Shubman Gill batted brilliantly in the first innings against New Zealand in the Mumbai Test. After 4 wickets fell at a score of 86 runs, he formed a 96-run partnership with Rishabh Pant. Even after his dismissal, he persisted and was just 8 runs away from leveling New Zealand’s score. He scored 90 runs off 146 balls in adverse conditions on a difficult pitch.
