Bangladeshi Hindus and other minority communities say the interim government has not adequately protected them and that radical Islamists are becoming increasingly influential after Sheikh Hasina was ousted from power. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also expressed concern over atrocities committed against Hindus in the neighboring country.

Donald Trump said: I strongly condemn the barbaric violence against Hindus, Christians and other minorities in Bangladesh. He said Bangladeshi minorities are being attacked and looted and Bangladesh is in a state of complete anarchy.
