Criminal injured in police encounter
There was an encounter between police and miscreants on Saturday night in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. During this time, a criminal was injured due to police shooting. Two companions took advantage of the darkness and escaped from there. However, the police combed them and also arrested them. During this time the police arrested three criminals. Cases have been registered against arrested criminals in many police stations. The meeting took place in the Talkatora police station area.
According to the police, the police team was inspecting the Talkatora police station area on Saturday night. Meanwhile, three alleged accused traveling on two bikes turned the bike around and fled. After this, the police team chased him. During this time, one of the accused slipped and fell along with the bike near the Alam Nagar railway track. After falling, he fired two pistol shots with the intention of killing the police officer. In self-defence, the police fired three bullets, one of which hit the leg of the accused Suraj Gautam and he was captured. At the same time, the two accused who were on the other bike were also chased by the police and successfully captured.
What was recovered?
- Two pieces of chain and one melted piece were recovered from the possession of the accused in connection with the chain theft that took place with a eunuch in the Ko police station area on October 28.
- A domestically manufactured .315 caliber pistol, two active cartridges and 02 spent cartridges were recovered.
- The bicycle (HF Deluxe) used in the incident was also recovered.

- Suraj Gautam (son Kailash Nath Gautam, resident of Hayat Nagar, Dubagga Police Station, Lucknow, 26 years old)
- Shivam Kumar (son Siyaram, resident of Mallapur Adarsh Nagar, Thana Thakurganj, Lucknow, 25 years old)
- Govind Kumar (son of Mahavir Maurya, resident of Mallapur Adarsh Nagar, Thana Thakurganj, Lucknow, 19 years old)
During interrogation, the three accused were found involved in the chain snatching incident with Kinnar on October 28, in connection with which Section 304 (2) BNS was registered. Advanced legal action is currently being taken. The accused injured in the incident have been sent for treatment and other legal procedures are also being implemented.
