New Delhi: There is an uproar in Delhi regarding Chhath Puja. The AAP has termed the BJP as anti-Purvanchal. There is a scandal over permission for Chhath Puja in Satpula Park. Minister Saurabh says BJP is anti-Dalit and anti-Purvanchal. While the BJP says that the AAP does not allow Chhath Ghat to be built by committing vandalism.
What’s the whole deal?
This time politics has also started in Delhi regarding Chhath Puja. The Aam Aadmi Party and the BJP are eye to eye. They accuse each other of disturbing the cult. Every year there is politics over cleaning Yamuna or building Chhath Ghat, but this time the fight is over the artificial Chhath Ghat being built on DDA land in Sheikh Sarai area of Delhi.
The Aam Aadmi Party alleges that the DDA is stopping the Purvanchal brothers from worshiping at Chhath Ghat, while the BJP says why is the AAP not allowing Chhath Ghat to be built at Satpula Ground, Chirag Delhi, committing vandalism?
Filth spread in Yamuna
The Delhi government has no answer on the filth spread in Yamuna. Amidst this poisonous froth, preparations for Chhath Puja have begun. Devotees are forced to bathe in this poisonous water. The government has turned a blind eye, but Delhi Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj says he is raising the voice of the Purvanchalis in the Sheikh Sarai area.
Chirag: Regarding Satpula Park in Delhi, it is stated that Chhath Puja is not allowed here. On one hand, excavations are being carried out to build Chhath Ghat on the land, while on the other, Aam Aadmi Party workers are protesting by sitting at its gate. The artificial ghat work has started and the policy is also gaining momentum.
What is the controversy?
In fact, at the place where this artificial Chhath Ghat is being constructed, Aam Aadmi Party supporters have been constructing the ghat. It is alleged that this time the route to Chhath Ghat has been closed and they are not allowed to enter. That is why the ministers of the Delhi government are joining the protest.
When Delhi government minister Saurabh Bhardwaj cornered the BJP on this issue, the BJP also responded and said that Saurabh Bhardwaj and his supporters are stopping the construction of Chhath Ghat. Delhi BJP posted on social media alleging that on the great festival of faith, Chhath, Saurabh Bhardwaj is blocking Chhath Ghat with his goons. When the committee has already obtained proper booking and permission from DDA to conduct Chhath Puja, then why is AAP committing vandalism and not allowing Chhath Ghat to be constructed at Satpula Ground, Chirag Delhi? Why is JCB stopping machines from building Chhath Ghat? Kejriwal, who is out on bail, keeps taunting the people of UP-Bihar on why they come to Delhi and now this is another bad act? After all, why does AAP hate Purvanchal society so much?
When is Chhath?
Preparations for Chhath Mahaparva are in full swing across the country. Chhath Puja will begin on November 5 and the first Arghya will be offered to the Sun God on November 7. Purvanchali vote plays a very important role in Delhi, that is why all parties want to support it. Anyway, Delhi is on the verge of elections. This is the reason why excavations are being carried out inside to build Chhath Ghat, but outside ministers claim that they are being prevented from performing Chhath Puja.
