When Gautam Gambhir became the head coach of the Indian team, fans expected the team to perform well. But as soon as he became the head coach, something else was seen. Team India first lost the ODI series to the weak Sri Lanka team and now Rohit and company had to face a clean victory in the test series at their own home. After the 0-3 defeat against New Zealand, doubts are now arising about the team. India head coach Gautam Gambhir standing up. After the defeat, a shocking revelation about Gautam Gambhir has also come to light. According to PTI reports, Gautam Gambhir broke an important BCCI rule.

Rule broken for Gambhir!

Recently, Team India was selected for the Border-Gavaskar Test series and in this selection committee meeting an important BCCI rule was broken. As per BCCI regulations, the head coach cannot be part of the selection committee, but Gautam Gambhir had attended the selection committee meeting of the team chosen for the Border-Gavaskar series. It was Gautam Gambhir on whose advice Harshit Rana was selected in the Test team. Harshit Rana does not have much experience in first-class cricket, but despite this the player was selected for a grand tour as Australia.

BCCI officials disagreed with Gambhir

Not only for the Border-Gavaskar series but also for the Test match to be held in Mumbai, Gautam Gambhir took a decision that the BCCI officials were not happy with. Actually, it was Gautam Gambhir who took the decision to bowl a spin-friendly pitch in the Mumbai Test. BCCI officials did not agree to this. Especially when the Indian team was defeated on a similar pitch in Pune, Gambhir made the pitch friendly but despite this he gave a chance to two fast bowlers. Furthermore, BCCI officials did not like Gautam Gambhir’s decisions regarding the batting order. Now, if team India also suffers a crushing defeat in the Border-Gavaskar series and fails to reach the final of the World Test Championship, not only the senior players but also Gautam Gambhir may be in trouble.
