Türkiye came to the UN against Israel
Arab and Muslim countries are mobilizing against Israel. On the one hand, Saudi Arabia is holding meeting after meeting for an independent Palestine, while on the other, Iran is busy deploying missiles to exact revenge.
Now NATO country Turkey has also joined this mission and submitted a letter to the United Nations demanding that the supply of weapons to Israel be stopped. This letter has signatures from 52 countries and 2 non-governmental organizations.

‘Giving weapons means participating in genocide’
He said we should reiterate at every opportunity that handing over weapons to Israel means participating in genocide. Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Algeria, China, Iran and Russia are also included in this letter demanding to stop arms supplies to Israel. Apart from this, there are also signatures from the Arab League and the OIC, an organization of Muslim countries.
Türkiye has been criticizing Israel
Last month, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had demanded from the United Nations a ban on arms supplies to Israel. He had said that this is the only effective solution to stop the war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza. Erdoğan has been highly critical of Israel since the start of the war. It also ended trade relations with Israel in May.
Close collaborators also stopped the supply of weapons.
At the same time, some of Israel’s allies have also stopped supplying weapons to Israel. The most prominent name in this is France. Last month, French President Emmanuel Macron imposed a ban on arms supplies to Israel, saying this is the only way to end the conflict in Gaza. In early September, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer had also stopped the delivery of some weapons.
However, despite huge protests in Britain, the British Liberal government has not yet completely banned the supply of weapons to Israel. Apart from this, Canadian Foreign Minister Mélonie Jolie also canceled 30 weapons permits granted to Israel in the month of September itself.
